Getting Started In Motocross Guide - MX Transport

Transport

To transport your bike to a track you'll need either a Bike Rack to fit onto the back of your car, a Trailer to tow behind your car, a Pickup, where you put the bike in the pickup bed, a van, where you can put the bike straight in the back of the van, or find someone who has one of the above to take you with them. I have a normal trailer, where my bike just fits into, but you can buy proper bike trailers, for 1,2 or 3 bikes to fit into. I found the benefit of having a normal trailer was that I could use it for other jobs, not just transporting my bike about. Bike racks take up the least room, just make sure your car can handle it. Pickups and vans are good if you already have one, but if not it is a lot more expensive than buying a trailer or bike rack. There's always the option of catching a lift with someone else if none of the other methods are practical.
